Moorea - French Polynesia    Tahiti      Bora Bora    Moorea    Tetiatora

Imagine an island with twin extinct volcanic mountains (Mount Pahia and Mount Otemanu) in the middle of a lagoon,  surrounded by numerous small islets, and a barrier reef, that is Bora Bora.  A most enchanting island with waters the color of aquamarine jade, or like the color of your green mouthwash.  Water so clear, you can see the bottom.

Located about 140 miles northwest of Papeete, Bora Bora is accessible by plane with 5 or 6 flights a week flying out of Tahiti.   Many tourists come from the USA, Europe and Japan.  Over 30 years ago, Bora Bora became the first to have bungalows built on stilts over water.

Bora Bora is very popular among celebrities.  Luxury hotels in Bora Bora are out of reach for the common people, so celebrities can have some privacy.  Sharon Stone, Charlize Theron are some of the celebrities who stayed at Bora Bora.
