There were approximately 188 Aloha 27 built during the period 1979 to 1987 by Ouyang Boat Works in Whitby, Ontario. Designed by Robert Perry, the Aloha 27 was noted for its speed compared to sailboats of similar sizes. She responds well to all weather, in particular to light airs.
