History:
Judel-Vrolijk & Co. is one of Germany's internationally known design
office for offshore and racing yachts. It was founded in 1978 when
Rolf Vrolijk and Friedrich Judel, (both with backgrounds with racing
sailboat designs) got together to design and build racing sailboats.
Judel-Vrolijk design office gained international recognition in 1983 and
in 1985 when three of their boats won the Admiral's Cup. Over the
years, the company has designed over 300 crafts ranging from dinghies to
160 ft sailing yachts. Its production sailboat designs include the
"Baltic Yachts", "Dehler", "Hanse", "Najad", and "Grand Soleil".
